💡 Good news: The Skardu–Jaglot road is the same one you drove on Day 3 — you already know the tricky parts. It'll feel much easier the second time.

📍 Quick Stop: Gilgit City

You'll pass through Gilgit — the largest city in Gilgit-Baltistan. Consider a quick stop:

Fuel up — reliable stations here. Last good stop before Hunza.
ATM — HBL and MCB ATMs in Gilgit. Withdraw cash for Hunza.
Kargah Buddha — ancient Buddhist rock carving (5 min detour). 1,500 years old.
Grab snacks — fresh fruits and dry fruits from Gilgit bazaar.

🌙 First Evening in Hunza

Sunset from Karimabad viewpoint — the view of Rakaposhi glowing pink-orange at sunset is iconic. Ask your hotel for the best spot — most have rooftop access.
Walk through Karimabad Bazaar — cozy shops selling handmade crafts, woolen shawls, dried apricots, and walnut cake.
Hunza Apricot Cake & Walnut Cake — local dessert specialties. Must try.
Chai at a local café — the Hunza people are some of the most welcoming in Pakistan. Conversations with locals are a highlight.
Plan tomorrow's sightseeing — Hunza has a lot to see. Prioritize with your group.
